Being a conservative is nothing about being fiscally responsible, it is ALL about being oppressive.

Got that America?

Coming as this criticism does from rightwing Christian fundamentalists that's really something. My question though is this: "Is President Ahmadinejad's government more rightwing than that of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, or even that of Tony Blair; Berlusconi or Nicholas Sakozy? And if not what’s the problem and what's the real story you're pushing?

Seems like a con job and bloody hypocrisy to me.

"Coming as this criticism does from rightwing Christian fundamentalists..."

A new low. Do you really think that describes CSMonitor? You know about as much about CSM as you do Iran. The charges against and the descriptions of the cabinet ministers are a matter of public record. Ahmadinejad is a reactionary thug who's terrorizing his own people. Nothing new here except for the degree of repression.

"Conservative" is not exactly the correct word for it. It's a little further to the Right than that, isn't it?

This is what the GOP wants for the US. Conservative control and a gov that is as restrictive and controlling as Iran. This is your future America. Only you can prevent it.

Just like conservatives in this country, nothing but bad news.

Interesting how the meme is playing out: Iran Conservatives=Bad; American Conservatives=Good.

Losers, all.
