The highly anticipated "Arrested Development" movie is still arrested, but not for the reason everyone thinks.
Will Arnett is actually the one holding up the flick, despite rumors that the show's breakthrough star, Michael Cera - who hit instant celebrity status after "Superbad" - was the cause of the delay.

They should really put Arrested development on a cable network , that show was right up there with Six feet under one of the best shows ever
Never caught arrested development until HULU. awesome show! First it was Cera now Arnett. They better get this movie going before they become irrelevant. The plus side though is Arrested Development has such a good following that it might not matter! In these circumstances what usually happens is the series ends, the actors quickly run out of money, and the idea of getting a pycheck for throwing together a movie doesn't sound so bad after all (a.k.a. 'Sex and the City'). Will Arnett's wife is pulling down sizeable dough in her own series at the moment so the monetary incentive isn't there for him.
While I loved the show, I just don't think this would make a great movie. I'd love to see a couple 1 hour special episodes though. I could be wrong though.
If Seinfeld was a show about nothing, AD really was a comedy about comedy. I can't think of any TYPE of humor that was not in the show, and in a brilliant way.
Remember the moment about Charlize Theron's plastic surgery? Priceless.

I liked the show but think it's a tad overrated.
Nooooo! how dare you! Best show ever. I bet you watched it on TV. That's a mistake. You must buy the DVDs and watch it in daily doses, like a good novel.

It's overrated.
Of course it is. I too enjoyed it, but the only reason it gained such a cult following is it's early cancelation. I always have the feeling that if a show like Weeds could have had the same faith.
I don't know if the movie would make much money.....
God do I miss this show.
