I Like ItI Don’t Like It

In response to a statement made by Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) that health care "is not a major issue among American people," Vice President Biden issued a YouTube message, posted on the White House website. Biden firmly rebuts King's argument and makes a compelling case for why the country's health care system is in desperate need of reform. He then introduces a new online tool that would tell Americans "what's in reform for you" and asks them to post their own videos helping "bust this myth."

Agreed...VP Biden looks really good, and sounds even better. Please tell us, Joe, how much we'll be paying in 8 years if nothing is done right now. If premiums have doubled in X years, what will it likely cost in the future? In dollars...from our paychecks. And if companies still provide insurance, and the cost doubles, when is my next raise? And will someone's job be secure if he has a heart attack and needs very expensive care, causing his employers to pay much more for the entire small company's group health care? Give us the dollars and cents of the sense of it all. We care about our wallets.

What would it cost per year to provide catastrophic health care with a cap of say, $10,000 to anyone who wants it? That would be a great fall-back position. And how about expanding health care savings accounts that roll over to subsequent years, and could even be inherited? If you can't get single payer or a public option, start voting on things like this one at a time, with no amendments, and with an immediate start date.

King is only technically "sentient".

Sort of a monocellular-like existence.

I love you Joe Biden! Nice video too.

We are putting together our video tomorrow and are grateful to have such a resource to access and use. Mr. Biden mentions videos will be aired beginning this week and that makes it not only effective and allows citizens to personally get involved, but is immediate.

The links provided below Mr. Biden on the website access information helpful to those considering posting their own words.

With September being the big month for health care insurance reform, time is of the essence.

And Joe, you are looking quite dapper Mr. Vice President ;-)

Just goes to show you that he is not in touch with either what is going on and what the American people want. He thinks he is secure in his office and does not care about the American people. He does not even know that there is a new breed of "informed citizens" that will eventually get rid of people like him at the polls.

Dear informed citizen -
Who is the "he" of your comment? Are you referring to Biden or King? Is your disclarity intentional (so you can rebut alternate views with a simple statement "that's not who I was talking about: - or is your disclarity indicative that you are just another misled grunt who can only swallow and regurgitate the party line?

If icarecitizen was refering to King in his/her comment, I made a mistake and owe ICC a sincere apology. If ICC was refering to Mr. Biden, I stand by my comment.
