SARATOGA SPRINGS, New York — Pop-punk band Blink-182 has pulled out of its show in Saratoga Springs, New York, saying band members were grieving the death of their friend, celebrity disc jockey Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein.

A statement released by the band said Weezer, Taking Back Sunday, Chester French and "some special surprises" would go on as scheduled at the Monday night show.

Goldstein was found dead Friday in his New York City apartment. The cause of death has not been released pending the results of toxicology tests.

Goldstein and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker were the sole survivors of a plane crash last year in South Carolina that killed four people. Barker was Goldstein's partner in the duo TRVSDJ-AM.

The band resumes its tour Wednesday night in Cleveland.

Umm....

............who...IS...this DJ AM?

And why should we stop the world because he chose death?

I mean, I've had my fill of celebrity death wishers like this guy and FrankenJacko who've made good and STILL choose to be utter self-centered gizmos whining and crying about how hard life is.

At least they didn't have to worry about where the rent or mortgage, food, clothing and medical insurance was coming from.

I way past tired of these well off to wealthy celebs throwing pity parties for themselves.

He was a DJ

Who says the world has stopped?

Then why did you take the time to comment on this matter? Surely ignoring it would have sent a far stronger message?

Darfur refugees don't have to worry about rent either, so I guess they don't have it hard too.

Pop punk is still punk, and if you don't enjoy Blink 182, then you probably don't appreciate much alternative rock. Stick to your rap "music" or your country. Also, them acting like dicks is part of their performance, so don't buy a ticket if you can't handle mild insults to huge crowds of people. Their show at Jones beach was killer and i'm sad to see they canceled their show at SPAC, that venue is actually closer to me and I was going to get a ticket to that show but it overlapped with my dorm move in day.

Britney.

See, it could be worse.

Actually, I find Blink 182's stuff to be really catchy.

They won't play their junior high fake punk "music"? Well, at least something good came out of this.

Also, stop calling him a "Celebrity DJ".

They acted like total dicks to the crowd at the Virgin Music Festival Sunday, so this is probably a good plan.
