New York Health Department Rolls Out New Anti-Soda, Liquid Calories Ads (PHOTOS)

Health Dept. Launches New Gross-Out Ads (PHOTOS)

New York wants to know if you're "pouring on the pounds."

On Monday, the Health Department rolled out their new ad campaign targeting liquid calories. In an attempt to get New Yorkers to think twice about what and how much they drink, the ads go right for the gross-out effect, showing soda and other sugary drinks turning into revolting frothy chunks of fat.

Posters of the ads will be put up throughout the subway system, making your packed, un-air conditioned commute all the more pleasant.
