'The Men Who Stare At Goats' Trailer! Clooney Stars As Psychic Warrior (VIDEO, POLL)

What if we could end warfare as we know it by harnessing the paranormal powers of a psychic military unit? George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey team up in a darkly comic look at what happens when the government trains soldiers to walk through walls, kill goats by looking at them and engage in other mind-control tactics of cerebral combat.

This movie looks outrageous and very funny. Even better (or worse?), it's based on true events described in Jon Ronson's 2004 book of the same title.

Fun to see Clooney telling Obi Wan that they are Jedi...

But seriously, every scientific advance has been ridiculed before it was figured out. The precursor to science is non-templated data.

My own experiences have transformed me from an adamant belief in all paranormal as bunk to a more open and accepting person who tries to apply logical tests to odd situations. (let the eye rolling begin, I used to be there too) So far I have a few, ok several, that I cannot account for and so fall into my 'non-templated data' category. Someday I hope we will have an explanation for this stuff, for now its beyond our science and skills to quantify.
Just because we cannot measure something accurately doesn't mean it doesn't exist. What is the element that makes is the difference between a corpse and a living being? We call it Life, but we cannot really say a lot more than that.
We are aware of 3 dimensions and can infer Time as a 4th. Science postulates a universe with billions of stars, and a multitude of dimensions. What else is going on that we don't know? A lot.
So scoff at the subject if you will, because its a time honored tradition. But no advance ever came about by stopping the thinking because of scoffers. There are ALWAYS scoffers.
