Sean Lennon And Nude Model Recreate John And Yoko (NSFW PHOTO)

First Posted: 10/18/09 Updated: 5/25/11

Sean Lennon and a naked Kemp Muhl (a model and his girlfriend) have recreated the iconic Rolling Stone cover of Lennon's parents, Yoko Ono and John Lennon, taken by Annie Leibovitz.

The below pic, snapped by Terry Richardson, was taken for the fall issue of Purple magazine.

Sean stays clothed, in the Yoko role, while Muhl is nude and curled up against his side. Unlike John Lennon, she even shows some nipple.

She's perfectly hot, the grade of hot that can and looks more than happy for a chance to marry into billions.
He looks like his dad in a scary way, at the peak of the Beatles, but dead - a highly ironic and prob unintentional outcome of the shoot. Finally, whoever took this picture is a near amateur at lighting and that lousy tousled sheet background. This ends up saying a lot about the decline of photography as well as music.

Looks like this photographer made a copy of Annie's portraits and Annie might be able to sue for copyright infrigement. (She really needs the money). Also, looks like there was some photoshop work here. Where is the rest of the model's right leg??

Unimpressed.

How original... Perhaps it's time for Sean to go find an identity for himself.

The problem is this: the Annie Liebowitz picture was edgy because it was the man being naked and in a servile pose in this picture while the woman was clothed and in the dominant role.

The Sean Lennon picture is just the same ol, same ol. Also, when is Sean going to get a life and get his music career back on track instead of riding on the coattails of his old man?

Grow up, Sean.

Would have been more interesting if he updated it with a role reversal where he was the topless one and she were clothed. It's still the same old thing ala 19th century nude woman among clothed men sipping wine in the park. There's no shock value to this, no fresh ideas and no acknowledgement of the our post-feminist changing times.

The pic is truly post-feminist: Nobody cares about creating shock value by replacing the roles of man and woman any more. Good women know their place once again.

Isn't he supposed to be the naked one?

She is hot. Sean is not. Julian Lennon has talent. Yoko has well..........................nothing

He looks more like Yoko than she does.

Dehumanization of women continues? I always thought it was completely natural for women and men to attract. It looks human to me.

Some guys will do anything to get a woman naked.
06:58 PM on 09/05/2009
Is is just my conservative upbringing, or does this border on porn?
10:56 PM on 09/05/2009
It's your conservative upbringing. Good news? It's never too late to change.

>>"Some guys will do anything to get a woman naked."
>>"Good news? It's never too late to change."

Seems like good advice, but happily, my conservative upbringing also taught me that some things should never change. Porn is porn, no matter how many liberals call it art.

This is plagiarism but not porn. Nudity alone does not even border on porn. It would have to include sexual activity to rise to that level.

This argument would possibly persuade me to reassess my own opinion. Well stated. Not sure about the plagiarism idea, at least from the technical definition of it. Perhaps as an odd cutural homage to the original, it could be considered a compliment to the original, but didn't Annie do the original as well?
