White House Split

Washington Post:

This is health-care reform's endgame, or close to it. Next Wednesday, Barack Obama will give a prime-time address before both houses of Congress. But that's not all he's giving Congress. The administration is going to put a plan down on paper. The question is what it will say.

I'm pretty sure the people who voted for change didn't have this in mind. I'd be feeling pretty decieved about now. Obama Hussein hasn't followed through on ONE campaign promise:
End war bring troops home.
Create or save 3.6 million jobs! Unemployment is through the roof!
Stimulis money is not being spent as was sold to the AMerican people. We want it back!
Cut or reduce taxes on 90% of americans. Ha! who's going pay for cap & trade and healthcare??
Wow, what a pile of crap!!
Oh, and the Middle East is in more peril than ever.
Great Job!!

What is this "2 camps" bologna???

Is Barack Obama President or not? He was elected to spearhead Fundamental and Real Change. He was elected to lead not to govern "by committee". President Obama, you have the opportunity to impact millions of Americans - you need to channel President Lyndon B. Johnson and Senator Teddy Kennedy. LBJ knew how to push an agenda through the House and Senate. He had eyeball to eyeball conversations, picked up the phone and told the Democrats to get it done. Kennedy was a partisan Democrat that knew when to negotiate and what could be compromised without watering-down and weakening important legislation.

You have votes in the House and Senate. Pull out all the stops and keep the pressure on to get a Health Insurance Reform bill with a Strong Public Option passed. Veto anything else. Do it right or don't do it at all. The Party of NO, the Corporate-owned Blue Dogs and it looks like, now, even your closest advisors have been "playing you".

Kennedy helped you win; voters thought they elected Real Change. Make it happen.

How soon we forget! It's amazing to see so many so-called supporters/trolls who are saying, President Obama better do this or he better do that! I really don't recall all of this sh*t when Bush was in office. This man has been in the WH not even a year yet and everybody has their tongues wagging or saying what he should do. If you all know so much, why didn't any of you run for President?? Don't you understand that this man has jumped into the fire! Republicans don't want to see healthcare reform and some democrats don't either, for that matter! I truly believe that he is trying and will try to do his best in this area, but he's fighting an uphill battle and many want to see him fail. So to his supporters, what are you doing to help him?? I don't expect the trolls and the other half that just can't stand to see a black man in office to rally behind him, but his TRUE supporters, what are you doing??

we didnt vote for Bush, didnt work for him and the comparison is apples and oranges.

We are holding Obama accountable for his strong campaign promises, and that will continue.

We elected a president.

We did not elect RAHMEMANUEL tosabotagethat presidency.

And we are not going away.

262 jump I hate to burst your bubble, but the fact is: the majority are not nobility. The modern term for nobility is the elite, and allow me to enter your cave and shine the light on you. We live in a peasant society. Your flatscreen tv and the like are just an illusion, a temporary feel good thing after purchasing it. It also makes you feel good when you compare yourself to others-- It gives you status. The fact is: You have to get up every morning and toil for your master in order to pay the interest on that credit card you used to buy that faltscreen tv. Thanks. But no thanks. You can pack your bags and leave. Make sure the door doesn't hit you on the way out. If BO were white, he would have won every state in the Union. That's right ! I'll say it again, Union ! I'll remain to fight for a more perfect union from the likes of people like you.

Not a diety, but an ideal. A way of self-governance. Incidentally, Plutarch writings were highly influential on our founding fathers.

Both sides of the aisle have been bought by the HC industry, the banks, and of course, Wall Street. Some folks and the media would have you believe millions of dollars in "contributions" should only be reported or made public when one side of the aisle can be singled out for criticism or whenever it fits into the story of the day. Ask yourself, when was the last time you were provided an unbiased accounting of contributions to Congress and the power elite by the MSM. I am a registered non-aligned Independent that has grown tired of the duplicity and polarization from both sides. The Repubs have become the party of "HE// NO, we won't" while the Dems have become the party of "HE// YES, we CAN'T". Each blaming the other for the gridlock, greed, duplicity, and corruption that is pervasive from both sides. Main Street, having bought into the divisiveness eagerly served to them by both sides, doesn't care so long as they continue with the lefty / righty BS that is sending this country down the proverbial drain hole in the bottom of the sink. Get over it, let's begin to work for what is best for all of us, democrats, republicans, & Independents, Americans all.

We are the one: if you haven't noticed. This a peasant society. The few have and are part of the noble class, and the many are just slaves tied modern day fiefdoms--Their jobs.

As if health care wasn't a big enough issue, we need to watch closely the behind the door dealings going on right now about the $530TRILLION derivatives market legislation.as to health care, how do we know that a government option ( which in priciple I am for) will not ultimately be privitized , giving some company a monopoly. For exmplae Lochead Mrtin runs our FAA and SSecurity;Haliberton runs our military support( there are more contractors in Afghanastan today than troops!);Blackpool( Triple Canopy) was just renewed its cotract in Iraq; CIFA ,the privitized CIA, is still at it.

I don't know about anyone else but I was kinda hoping for real leadership from this W.H.. So far nothing (cue the crickets). Seriously, is he as limp as Reid or is he just acting like it? It's going to be a long 4 years if this is how it's going to go.

Put it this way if they are still trying to iron out exactly what version of health care reform they want at the W.H., what have they been doing. And why didn't they start the debate with that goal in mind. It's a little late to figure it out now.

It is not a question of what they want, but what they can get. It's the dems, primarily, who are responsible for this mess, not the President. He laid out his outline over and over again. He did not write the bills. That is the job of legislators. The left has attacked him from day one. The blue dogs want him to fail. The result may very well be we get no reform at all, and his Presidency is seen as failed, or wounded. Do we want this? We need more democratic senators on board, I am afraid. In fact, failure Really is not an option.
