Without Lieberman, we could have had a Democrat.

Well, of COURSE it would pass! It would mean the insurance companies and all their puppets have managed to keep things just as they are now. I hope this total lack of compassion will mean the end of Lieberman's career in Congress after this term.

This is a wolf in sheep's clothing....er....I mean a REPUBLICAN in disguise as a democrat. Democrats had better wake up and expel him from the party. What has he done lately other than to attempt to wreck any democratic program?

Party leadership had best realize how disgusted most democrats are with Lieberman, as well as how really upset most Jewish people are. This.....toad.....does NOT represent us.

Leiberman may be right that without the public option, health care reform would pass. However, it really wouldn't be "reform" but just another excuse for the industry to continue to rape the American public in the cause of health care.

Leiberman is on the wrong side of this issue. But, I have to give him credit, he has stayed away from the insanity of the Republicans with their "death panels' and such. He's just wrong.

The problem, Joe, is that without a strong public option - there is no reform.
12:46 PM on 09/04/2009
exactly. At best just more loopholes for the insurance companies.

Joe sure takes care of his constituents.

By the way, Connecticut voters.

That doesn't mean you.

That's right, sonoffestus.

I was referring to Connecticut-based Insurance companies when I referred to Lieberman's "constituents."

Without the public option, the health reform bill is just Obama spending a bunch o money on health care. Why would Republicans and/or the health insurers not like this? They give up nothing and it makes everything they are saying true.

I love Joe Lieberman. In the same way that I love Republicans. They are such beacons in lighting the way through difficult and complex issues. If ever I am in doubt about the validity or advisability of a particular action or piece of legislation, all I have to do is look at and listen to those guys.

Then, whatever they suggest -- I know to do the opposite. Thanks, guys!

Lieberman belongs to the group that masterminded all the oil wars. His was an advisor for PNAC! If you don't know what that is look here:

That's because without the public option it's not really reform, and cowards like Lieberman love passing junk legislation that makes it look like something is getting done without actually threatening their sugar daddies.
