Ritter Backs Off Plan To Cut DUI Funds

Gov. Bill Ritter on Wednesday scrapped his plan to divert money from drunken driving enforcement to shore up the state budget.

Ritter's change of heart came after law enforcement officials and others "raised legitimate public-safety concerns," said the governor's spokesman, Evan Dreyer.
