Financial adviser Barry R. Stokes, who has pleaded guilty to stealing $19 million from victims' retirement plans, spent part of his time in jail making voodoo dolls of financial victims and sticking pins in them to ward off their damaging testimony, according to evidence presented this morning in a federal court hearing.

That could be the reason that all botanicas in my barrio ran out of gris gris in July. I got people in the swamps sending me fine gris gris now. It almost makes it look like making Voodoo dolls is something that should raise suspicions. After all, anybody doing that might be a Ponzi schemer - who knows!

As I understand it, you can--if you don't mind it coming back. Almost all belief systems have some kind of built-in karma, including the best-known in West... "As you sow, so shall you reap." But I also understand that voodoo only works if the victim is susceptible to the one with the pins, and I THINK those folks are kind of closed to his influence now.
Only if she gave him $19 million worth of advice and charged it to his AmEx.
