USA Today:

Is this the end of Chad Ochocinco's foray into Twitter? Or just a publicity stunt by a man who knows how to draw attention?

The Bengals receiver said today that he intends to close his Twitter account.

If I can't "tweet" at work on an hourly salary, why should he get to? He makes millions! I think if I had talent and an opportunity like him, I'd be focused on being the best at my job! These guys, these so-called "athletes" these days are ridiculous.

Don't you mean an hourly wage. "I think if I had talent and an opportunity like him, I'd be focused on being the best at my job! " He does work hard that's why is a 5 time pro bowler. I wish all you non athletes would stop judging professional athletes about what they do in there spare time or on the feild. And please stop comparing your job with theirs. Do you see the team owner saying anything. No he is not, you know why , he fills the seats. Why do you think the team allowed HBO to film them this summer. It is all publicity.

Maybe Chad can brush up on his Spanish now that he has free time away from twitter. It's ochenta y cinco.

Chad just got smarter by quitting Twitter.
One less Twit in the world is a good thing.

Chad Ochocinco is one of, if not, my favorite players in the NFL. Hater's can "kiss the baby". He doesn't pay you haters any mind anyway. He's going to catch 1500 yards worth of Palmer bombs this year and he'll have 15 different celebrations to entertain us all.

i think you mean hater's can "child pleazz"

Does anybody truly care? If you do, get a life.

I care enough to proclaim that football is a hideous joke that has absolutely zero redeeming social value. All it does is siphon off considerable educational resources that could be used in a more constructive manner. To make things worse, pro football players like Chad what's his real name (many of whom receive scholarships and have actually graduated college) underscore this point time and time again with their criminal, inane and juvenile behavior both on and off the field. What is their actual contribution to society considering that they are awarded scholarships that the non-athletic scholar could only dream of?

Ummmm, first of all, Sally, Football is entertainment. It is sport. It is another distraction in a world of hurt. Yeah, ok, we get it that you don't get it. Move on, ma'am.

Not all NFL players are uneducated criminals... i guess just the Black ones. In fact many players contribute to society. There are bad apples in all professions, look at the banking system. So get off your high horse and stop talking about something you have no clue about.

Just the black one, the league is like 88% Black , if your comment was true there would be no NFL jerk. Read a book please.

And this became a referendum on football because ...?? More importantly, we care about your opinion of football because ...?? MOST importantly, you felt the need to share your obviously minority opinion of football with us because...??

In other words, you have committed a WTF moment, my friend. Don't make it a habit

The Bengals and Lions should be exempt from the rules since they won't be going anywhere!

REAL teams shouldn't be thinking about twittering though, since unlike basketball, you need to always pay attention in football.
