While our hearts belong to the shows that run all year long ("Daily Show," "Colbert Report," "Late Show," etc) we are pumped for some upcoming fall premieres. A few are time-tested favorites, others are new to the world of TV, but they all look fabulous. Post any you're psyched for that aren't on our list in the comments section!

An amazing show about the worst people in the world, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is reminiscent of "Seinfeld" except the cast is ten years younger and Catholic. Danny DeVito tears his way out of a leather couch this season completely naked. New season premieres September 17 on FX.

Yes! It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a show that needs more love from viewers and the Emmys. Hardly anyone I know has heard of it. The entire cast is doing a live stage version of their season 4 finale in Philadelphia next week, and I managed to score tickets. Should be great!

I'm always excited for 30 Rock, and while I still love The Office, it isn't as good as it used to be. I think now that their creative time is split between The Office and Parks & Recreation, the quality on The Office has gone down.

Curb Your Enthusiasm - hoping it delivers. "Community" is the only new show I'm looking forward to. Seems like a great role for Chevy Chase too.

Curb is great...I really don't have the time for most series programs...it's the only one I can take time out for...

Obviously, many people have an awful lot of downtime to sit and watch endless TV shows...

What about Julia Louis-Dreyfus' 'Christine'? That's one we're waiting for.

Hmmm. Interesting that "The Goode Family" isn't listed.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Goode_Family

Dropped from ABC last month from its summer maiden voyage, Mike Judge and crew have reportedly signed on to a new network to continue TGF saga. I only discovered it in the past week and have gobbled up all thirteen original episodes on YouTube. It's a cult hit in early stew mode not unlike Seinfeld in its first season.

Can't wait to see the new season of episodes. It's better than most of the stuff that passes for comedy on television these days...

You know what was wrong with "The Goode Family"? Unlike "King of the Hill," it didn't select a target for ridicule and be unmerciful with the ridicule. The Goode Family tried to make fun of liberals and conservatives without really going up to the edge (except for its parody of Christians. It made them look incestuous.) The show was supposed to ridicule liberalism but I got the impression that the show's creators didn't really want to satirize the liberal lifestyle too much. It was like they were holding back.

When King of the Hill ridicules conservatives it goes all out and that's what makes the show so hilarious. But you can't take your character's side and say some things they do are funny but ultimately, they're correct in their life philosophy. No. You gotta slaughter their image to get the real laughs. You've gotta portray them as hopeless, unreasonable zealots at all times.

Looking forward to Glee! From the pilot episode, it looks like it'll be a great ride! (And it doesn't hurt that one of my high school classmates is in the cast!)

I am looking forward to a new show on HBO called "Bored to Death." (Ted Danson.) The previews look pretty funny. I'm also watching the last season of "Monk." I've been a fan since its first season. The story lines have gotten a little tired, but I never cease to be amazed at Tony Shalhoub.

Give me diversity on TV! Why are the executives afraid of color? Big Bold Beautiful Color! Why fear the Beautiful!

Not all of them. I killed my TV several years ago and never regretted it. I do cheat though and watch a couple things like The Office and Southpark online.

why not read a book, go for a walk, go to the library, visit the elderly or shut in?

Turn off TV forever....it is a drug that keeps sucking out our brains.

It depends on what you watch. Try NOVA on PBS for a few weeks and you might find those brain cells are rejuvenated.

is that when they aren't running ads or fund raising? no thanks.

the problem with TV is nobody retains any information. it just washes over you, sucking you into the vacuum, and when you get up the next day you cannot remember what was so funny. i am happy enough without tv....you should try it, maybe you'll feel smarter and better for it.

"30 Rock" is great, but they've got the best cast, best writers and can have the clout to get pretty much anything they need. I absolutely LOVE "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" because it's dark and raw - they don't appear to have a big budget and their best comedy appears to come from situations where they have come up with some wonderfully funny concept and then the writers have made it work within modest means.
