amazon thinks Obama should stay in DC all by himself when everyone else is away on vacation! She's not very well educated obviously or she'd know the history of presidents. It's traditional to do certain things and his "vacations" are hardly escapes. He works 24/7 unlike bushie who truly did get away to Texas when he should have been working. Camp David is a retreat just minutes from the WH which he is constantly in touch with. I think amazon is rather sad and I'm sorry for her because her life must be truly miserable.

I thought Michelle looked great going to and coming back in black and the family do look as if the retreat was good for them. One cannot live at work 24/7. One needs a change of scene for mental health.

Worship of a person to the point where you will abandon your own personal integrity is one of the signs of a fatal load of the toxin.

He obviously did nothing on the health-care reform he promised during his campaign. He sat back and let the GOP and other neocon servants craft programs that are devoid of the single-payer, public-option, and ability of our government to negotiate with drug companies for the best prices.

The bill is so far along that it cannot be turned back now. Obama allowed this to happen, on his watch, just like he allowed taxpayer-funded contractors, working in the Kabul Embassy, have gay s ex parties.

Now he whines the excuse, "I was ambiguous." That is a flat-out lie.

He has been quite clear about the fact that he would accept a program which was not a single-payer program, that he would accept a program without a public option, and that he would accept the clause forbidding the government to negotiate for the best prices on drugs from big pharma.

But have anothr swig of that Obama-Flavored Kool-Aid, look at the pretty, carefully staged pictures, and continue to be played for a fool by a fool.

I have not once said it's all about my taxes and my money. I have sacrificed to get the education and experience that now, as I grow older, I have a great, stable job.

But I know I am in a shrinking majority. I wish President Obama would work on that reality instead of trying to make his big pharma pals more rich.

The bloom is off the rose. It has become clear that Obama has more in common with Bush than we could have imagined during the campaign. His tone is different but the policies are extensions of the Bush policies. He is expanding the war in Afganistan, is coy and ambivalent about torture, has allowed the banks to continue to play poker with public funds, shows no leadership in healthcare, has dangerously expanded our deficits by promising us we can have whatever we want and then borrowing from China to fund our expenses, has allowed the hated contractors to destroy US credibility in our embassy in Kabul, and has not enunciated any principles upon which policy can be formed in any area. Indeed his lack of leadership as exacerbated the mess in the Iraq and Afganistan and the Israelis openly defy him. His stimulus package did not even meet the criteria set by his economic advisor, Summers.
Many are sick of Obama and his speeches, his pugnacious wife and the whole Camelot fantasy. Enough of the Obamas. Write about real fashion and stop being the mouthpiece for the Obama PR team.

elsa I agree with much of what you said, but take exception to the last paragraph. he has waffled maybe he got intimidated, we need a leader not a diplomat, the repubs never ever intended to wor with him on any level and he needs to spine up. at least 20 former staffers from his campaign protested in front of the whitehouse because he hasnt lived up to his promises and has taken bush policies and kept them going. pre emtive detention is one of them, not signing the matthew shepard anti hate bill. if he pics a position and sticks to it and it is part of his campaign promises i will do everything to help him. its about the policies not the person. i worked very hard and donated alot of money to his campaign and revieved an unasked for invitation to the inuaguation from his main staff. it was such an exciting moment, but it had been sent to a nieghbor in error and so i just found out two days before, i missed it!
i also think calling mo pugnacious is extremly disrespectful and unwarrented, they are not attempting camelot, they are trying to have a a family life. it is the media that brought in the camleot theme. not the obamas. go for policies, and not personal slams against them so reasonable, rational conversations that are needed regarding policy can occur.

I disagree. In the beginning I thuoght they were wonderful, and loved to see them interact.

Who are the American people the Obamas are disconnected from? This President is working trying to turn this economy around. But anyone with any common sense knew that Bush left things in a terrible mess and it was not going to be turn around overnight. There was going to be some hard times.
