Part One...

I believe it's time for America (or better moniker the USA) accepted that we have passed our prime..it was short-lived as empires go (but...maybe we're a nation of ADD...attention deficit disorder)...Canada added 200,000 jobs the same month we lost the same number..Germany..WELL on the way to recovery...and now I read Great Britain "might" see a light. We are a nation in decline and sadly I believe it is irreverable...how far down we go, however, is still up in the air. The G-20 (well..19 of them) want US (the USA) to revisit the exorbitant wages the top CEO's and stock and commodity traders receive...we stand alone in this insane travesity of class warfare (or class acquiesence...).

You are right. The USA is in a irreversible decline brought on by greed. Radix malorum est Cupiditas. If the Supreme Court rules in favor of corporations legally purchasing "elected" officials, the final nail will have been driven in the USA's coffin.

Part two..

I actually wouldn't mind not being the world policeman..let Russia deal with Afghanistan..they DO still share a 3000+mile border with that country (should have let the Soviets have it....communism fell ...so..the fear of those nasty Reds...silly)...China...well, they are discovering their own problems with radical Muslims..let THEM clean that mess up. I'm almost to the stage of being an isolationist, at least miliarily since we NEVER get it right..and we ALWAYS back the wrong dictator...so afraid are we still of socialists in our soup. I say...let the USA be a 2nd world power..use the bulk of the miliary budget for Healthcare...One month of spending in Iraq would cover it for a few years.

okay..my head hurts now....think I'll watch a re-run of Kate and whatshisname plus 8...
