Pelosi's now saying a public option is LESS LIKELY! Are they gonna turn US all over to the insurance giants with a little slap on the wrist for them?
I COULD hope that Obama is trying to talk to the Blue Dawgs to get them on board with tthe only thing that will keep premiums from continuing to go thru the roof...but after Pelsoi's cave, I don't think that's what happening here.

They don't have much more time to get this right. Obama will never ( probably) have such a huge majority even tho some of them are totally bought and paid for like Baucus.
They'd better do at least a small public option and give US a toehold against Godizilla.
Allowing the states, in Kucinich's bill, to advance single payer ( if they can) woudl be very good also.

We need to stop this legislation NOW and start all over with SINGLE PAYER ON THE TABLE.

All the arguments the POTUS uses are arguments FOR SINGLE PAYER.

Unless you really want to spend your tax dollars propping up the insurance industry.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) provides for premium reductions and additional election opportunities for health benefits under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985, commonly called COBRA. This is just standard community organizing tactics -- periodically draw in the people who are supposed to be working with you and make sure everyone is on the same page of the hymnal. This is the time when questions can get answers, people can take notes, information is given, encouragement is stoked.
