Exactly what I expected AND hoped for
Not as efficient and simple as single-payer, but he's requiring coverage and there are a lot of great ideas in here that should help make coverage a lot cheaper while preserving a whole lot of people's jobs. As for "being open to OTHER options" on the public option, I didn't get that. I thought he was saying that he was open to MORE options to help improve competition and reduce overhead, and that the public option was just one of them. It seemed to me he was trying to create a large, living framework instead of an inflexible, end-all bill.
