The recession has put thousands of people out of work, creating a new class of accidental entrepreneurs. Whether by ingenuity or just plain luck, many of newly unemployed have formed their own small businesses as a result of the shrinking job pool.
Last week, we asked readers to share their stories of becoming an accidental entrepreneur and today we made a slideshow of your submissions. Please note, the slides and captions were submitted by readers and not the editors of the Huffington Post.
8 Between Us....Literally
:The Tag line 2 Women, 8 Kids and a Dream should be understood as a literal translation. Two women, both of whom worked either in the salon/spa industry and the natural products industry, found themselves overstressed, and out of work. Not to mention with 8 kids between them...
Economic downturn coupled with the abundance of low paying jobs in the region, these two women decided to bring consumers affordable, earth friendly, kid and pet friendly spa quality skin products to everyone. Believing that everyone is deserving of relaxation, pampering and exquisite skin despite economic or social conditions they set out and started 8 Between Us. Three weeks later, a product line, website and tweeting began.
The 8 Between Us product line focuses on high quality, spa quality products.
