New York Daily News:

Eight years ago, on an ordinary Tuesday morning, nearly 3,000 lives were lost in the deadliest attack on American soil in our history.

It was an event that forever changed the life of this city. And it was a tragedy that will be forever seared in the consciousness of our nation.

Every year on this day, we are all New Yorkers.

The response of the world inspired me and I wondered how such an extraordinary outpouring of sorrow and kindness could be used to transform the world. In the hands of someone with an imagination perhaps, but in the hands of Bush?

So now we see how long it feels between a president's inauguration and sept eleven. President Obama was expected to take ownership of the problems and fix the economy, healthcare, national security, etc etc etc.....

....and yet, bush's administration claims they didnt have enough time in office to be blamed for any falings in prep for this horrific attack.

It is official:

PRESIDENT OBAMA HAS KEPT US SAFE FROM AN ATTACK LONGER THAN bush/cheney!!!

I live and work in nyc and am sick of having all of this politicized.

My prayers to all affected.
