It was a foolish move. There are consequences you know.

And this guy is from the Presidents own state where he has a 70+% approval rate.

Shimkus and Wilson both need to pull up their big boy panties, sit there and take it, even when they disagree. Sit there because citizens from their states are, unfortunately, paying for them to sit there. Sure, they want and think they deserve respect but their middle school actions show that they deserve none.

I'm from Illinois, and I won't forget that he walked out on the first Illinoisan president since Abraham Lincoln.

Apparently, Shamkus didn't realize when he walked out, he walked out on not only his constituents, but the people of Illinois. We'll be happy to return the favor come election time.

"Downstate" ain't Chicago.

Last time he won with over 60% of the vote.

All he needs to do is throw the word "boy" in his speech a couple of times and he'll probably get 70% of the vote.

Shimkus needs to be voted out of office and forced to get a job and his own insurance.

He has had a freeride too long.

Rep. Shimkus is now known as "Shamekus" for the "medals" he has received from the oldest newspapers in IL.

Very appropriate.

I'm confused. The same people that are fighting for their grandchildren not to have a huge debt are the same people that are not fighting to save the world in which they will live.

Shimkus actions were that
of a very irrepsonsible congressman
and the people of his district need
to seriously consider ousting him
because if reading from the Bible
during a hearing about Climate Change
isn't crazy enough, his coments about
the climate change issue made his
mental illness crystal clear, and now this
walking out during the Presidents
address to a joint session to congress
on the health care issue!

He is obviously a person that should
be votded out of office because he is
not serving his constituents rather he
is follow the lead of the "right wingnuts"
out hate the President...

Good I hope they use it against him. Who's his opponent? We have to do the same as we did for Rob Miller. It's donation time!
