Ed Show Hits Michele Bachman For Defending Joe Wilson In 'Psycho Talk' Segment (VIDEO)

First Posted: 11/16/09 05:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 03:05 PM ET

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann is never one to shy away from taking an unpopular or controversial position, and this time she's defending fellow GOP Rep. Joe Wilson for his "you lie!" outburst during President Obama's speech to Congress. This landed her, not for the first time, in "The Ed Show" segment 'Psycho Talk.'

Bachmann poured out her heart defending Wilson:

Thank God for Joe Wilson. Joe Wilson is my friend. He's the last person I talked to before I left Washington. He's the sweetest, most mild-mannered loving guy you've ever seen. Such a huge heart.

This made Schultz suspicious:

Michele, you're not hitting on Joe, are you? Huh, what's going on here? You know they may be just perfect for each other. Although Joe Wilson's got his work cut out for him if he wants to get caught up with Michele's level of craziness.

There's an interesting Op ed in the Dallas Morning News by Rod Dreher. It is titled "My Fellow Conservatives: Can we think?" The obvious answer is no but it is great to read a conservative attacking the right.

We need help in Tennessee to get rid of Marsha "the birther" Blackburn.
Marsha represents the Wealthiest county in Tennessee. Her district gerrymanders around Nashville, 50 miles to north to Clarksville, TN, which is also Ft. Campbell, KY (101st Air Assault - USArmy) and triagulates downwardly west to Memphis. The VAST MAJORITY of the district is rural, unemployed and broke. She does represent those folks, including me.

Greg is a great guy and he is not evren from here! YIPEE

Partisan politics have always been contentious, with a certain amount of "dirty politics" used to destroy the opposition. Most people are repulsed by the "dirty" politics, but others seem to thrive on it. To them politics is a sport, a no-holds barred blood sport, turning politics into their own personal arena of verbal Gladiator...bloody fight to the death...battles.
For them, it's not issues, facts, truth, solutions or Governing that's important, but the Partisan "battle itself. "Winning" the ONLY goal. Lying, cheating, and breaking the rules, to them are all acceptable first choice weapons, because those weapons are effective weapons to "win"

Like in the Gladiator movies we watch....those games were blood sport entertainment for the masses. Part of the crowd hopefully cheers for the new challenger to take down the "previous winner" who is usually a nasty mean hateful unscrupulous SOB. Part of the crowd cheers for the SOB, one reason is because he "wins" and the other is they relish bloody brutality. The more ways he can brutally cheat and draw blood, the louder they yell.

Our present politics are a Gladiator mentality for Conservatives. It's all about blood and gore, "anything goes WINNING" Nothing else matters.
The teabaggers, birthers, deathers, crowd, carrying their vile signs and cheering for the SOB'S with their weapons of lies, and cheating dirty politics. The meaner it gets the louder they cheer, caught up in the glee of blood letting. They have lost their reason, and their humanity.

Proof positive that we need comprehensive health care to prevent psychologically challenged people like Michelle Bachmann from ever attaining a voice in politics.

A: Silly putty

The eyes tell all. Look at her eyes. She looks like me when I wake up in the middle of the night; 300 mg Neurontin; 300 Elavil; Cyclobenzine; Xanax, etc. etc. Yep!! She is my twin sister.

Where are the apologies from Speaker Nancy Pelosi accusing the CIA of lying though an intelligence report indicates that she was briefed on the use of harsh interrogation tactics in 2002; contradicting her previous statements
Charlie Rangel who is under investigation for misusing rent controlled properties, avoiding taxes, and using U.S. government letterhead to raise money.
John Murtha and Peter Visclosky both have been linked to lobbying firm PMA, which has been raided twice by FBI agents.
Edolphus Towns who refused to subpoena Countrywide Mortgage documents to investigate possible sweetheart loans; Towns received two loans from Countrywide.
John Conyers who forced aides to perform personal tasks against ethics rules and had them work on "several local and state campaigns including his wife's failed bid for a seat in the state senate."

"Where are the apologies from Speaker Nancy Pelosi accusing the CIA of lying...."

What?....haven't you been following the news?....she was right and vindicated...period!
Now, for the other guys, I agree with you even if I am a democrat leaning liberal.....everyone in the congress(regardless of their party) should be held accountable for their misbehavior.....EVERYBODY

Pelosi was right.

Could you get more off topic? You mention valid ethics violations, but it is NOTHING compared to Republican corruption.

Ed Schultz is an industry shill just like Rush Limbaugh. Both of these guy's opinions about anyone from the left or the right mean nothing.

The GOP is infiltrated by alien agents from outer space. Bachmann always reminds me of those creatures from Tim Burton's 'Mars attacks'

When Reid called Bush a liar?
05:42 AM on 09/17/2009
Fact Check, Aisle 7!!! Reid released a statement in April 2008 about the Bush adminstration's role in Senate Repubs using "nuclear option: that is referred to as Reid calling Bush a liar: “Last week, I met with the president and was encouraged when he told me he would not become involved in Republican efforts to break the Senate rules. Now, it appears he was not being honest, and that the White House is encouraging this raw abuse of power.”

Reid did not yell, "You lie!" as Wilson did during a Presidential Address to Congress and the Nation.

If you really think these two incidences are comparable than I have to ask: "What planet are living on?"

Uhm Bush is a liar - thats the difference. WMDs in Iraq? Nowhere to be found! Health Care for illegal immigrants in the Obama bill? Nowhere to be found.

To make it simple for you:
Bush liar
Obama no liar
