This seems to be a tradition in the republican party. I recall Billy Tauzin (R-LA) went to work for big Pharma immediately after pushing the Medicare prescription drug bill through Congress.

The revolving door has been closed by Obama.
Unfortunately it has made it real hard to find anyone willing to serve in his cabinet.

A successful prosecution of this villain of the earth would be a great first step in fighting political corruption, even better would be to tie the dark side VP and his secret energy meetings to this.

I have a simple solution to all of these issues and more.

If you work for the government in our trust and you accept bribes or give away our national heritage, then you will repay those bribes or the amount you gave away out of your own pocket and serve not less than 10 years in prison while making license plates.

If you are a politician and you accept campaign contributions from a corporation like an insurance company, then you have to recuse yourself from any bill that supports the corporation through new legislation. If you violate the law, you have to pay the contribution back from your personal funds and face automatic censure from government.

If you are a prosecutor and you withhold evidence or fabricate evidence that is material to the verdict, then you shall serve the full prison term of the convicted.

If you are an insurance company and you deny coverage or wrongly recind coverage, then your tax rate will go to 100% for ten years and if the patient is harmed by your decision then the CEO will serve a prison sentance from 1 year to life depending on the harm cause by the insurance company.

What?! She was just doing what every other Bush Admin appointee did, sweetheart deals to their buds...what's the point of taking a government job if you can't make money on it? After all, how many Bush appointees came from industries they were supposed to oversee and regulate? Conflict of interest was the very least of the abuses with Bush appointees and congress went along with it because dissent during Geo's time in office was "traitorous, unpatriotic and un-American". Any of the conservo/repubs remember that?

I can just guess the Republican response: "let's not waste our time focusing on unsubstantial issues" or "witchhunt" or "not constructive"...as they spend three-quarters of their time dealing with ACORN. Jerks.

The Huff Post "FREE SPEECH ALGORITHM DELETES MORE POSTS!!

On its website, the company boasts more than a few such cases, in which
it worked for Bush et al. In nearly every one, and while Holder was happily
a partner in the firm, C&B defended GOP operatives--and also the
financial industry and Big Pharma. These, of course, are all the very players
responsible for the immense corruption of the US public sphere.

Check out the litany of litigation that C&B has been involved in, mostly on
the RNC side. Remember, these are the company's own proud claims.

Must we, then, still wonder why Eric Holder is a no-show on GOP election-rigging
and selective prosecutions?

The real question is why Obama would infect his administration with both Holder
and Greg Craig, both of whom are not merely politically tainted, but have acted as
defense agents for the Bush administration and the GOP more generally. (See
Simpson's article on Craig, which I think you may have sent around:
http://pubrecord.org/special-to-the-public-record/3263/white-house-should-craig/ ).
Can the Dems really be this clueless? I doubt it. So what else is going on? Is the
political face of the parties really just that, a facade of political space when, in fact,
the Rs & Ds are just part of the same machine?
