Kirsten Gillibrand Backs Legislation To Protect Senior Citizen's Money From Fraud

Fraudsters steal more than $21 million every year from Brooklyn seniors alone, according to government statistics, and more than $70 million from seniors citywide.

The numbers are featured in a report on fraud targeting seniors released Tuesday by U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) as she touted a raft of legislation aimed at better protecting those over 65.
