What's Your Reaction?
Megan Fox

Megan Fox may feel safer kissing girls, but Amanda Seyfried, her onscreen make out partner in 'Jennifer's Body,' assures us their sapphic scene is just a gimmick.

"We knew that it was going to play a really big role in publicizing the movie," Seyfried told WENN. "We kind of rolled our eyes at the idea of having to make out."

Not so!, said the film's screenwriter, 'Juno' scribe Diablo Cody. "If the two protagonists of the film were a guy and a girl and in a particularly tense moment, they shared a kiss, no one would say it was gratuitous. But the fact that they're women means it's some kind of stunt. It was intended to be something profound and meaningful," she told The Frisky.

Quick Poll

What do you think of Megan and Amanda's kissing scene?

profound

Gratuitous? Yes. But oh so artistically (and artfully) done!

I'm sorry, HuffPo, but your headline is far more offensive than this kiss is. Are all male-female on-screen kisses so easily reduced to a tacky, limiting duality like "Artistic or Gratuitous"? Are those really the only options here? I'm amazed at how even undeniably gay-friendly sites like Huffington Post continue to try to put gays and lesbians into cute little boxes for either a) titillation, or b) a political point. Love, LIFE, and relationships aren't nearly so simple, and neither are Hollywood depictions of them. Seriously. Expand the mindset, please, and grow up.

I don't see anything wrong with that except they need to tidy up the room a bit.

More like, pathetic. If you are going to kiss someone, do it. Like the way the movie stars did it in the old movies.

Juno to me just seemed like a vehicle for Diablo Cody to name-drop Indie bands and make up hipster slang which no one actually uses.

Kiss or no kiss I'm not sitting through 2 hours of that BS again.

I can only hope this movie will be the vehicle that sends Megan Fox to Lifetime movie of the month status. Diablo Cody, stop trying to channel Quentin Tarantino through teenagers. Teens are not witty. Teens are incapable of the quips your universe of enlightened children espouse. They are f-king retar ded.

This movie looks horrible. The teenage girl/monster/puberty/angst thing was already done with "Carrie" and "Ginger Snaps".

This movie looks dumb. I was super sad that Megan Fox chose to do this thing. Isn't she embarrassed?

Well, not every work of art can aspire to the lofty heights of Transformers.

And it is possible one can be both embarassed and rich.
