Cracker Barrel Attack: Tasha Hill Beaten In Front Of Daughter, Called Racial Slurs (VIDEO)

On Tuesday evening police arrested Troy Dale West for beating an African-American army reservist in front of her daughter outside a Cracker Barrel restaurant in Morrow, Georgia. The woman, Tasha Hill, was entering the Cracker Barrel as West was leaving, and she asked him to "be careful" of the restaurant's swinging door hitting her child.

"The man slung open the door pretty hard and fast and I had to push my daughter out of the way. I turned to the man and I just said, 'Excuse me sir, you need to watch yourself you almost hit my daughter in the face.' And from there it just went downhill," said Hill.

At that point, West became enraged and began to beat the victim in front of her 7-year-old daughter, according to police. Hill said she told West she was an Army service member and she did not want any trouble.

West threw her to the ground and hit her in the head with his fists and feet, police said. During the exchange, witnesses said West could be heard screaming racial slurs towards the victim.

According to Hill's report, and confirmed by many witnesses, West screamed out racial slurs before punching her in the face. "He said, 'You're an fucking black nigger bitch,' is what he said," said Hill.

The FBI is now investigating the beating as a possible hate crime.

On Wednesday, the Atlanta office of the FBI confirmed they have launched a "preliminary" investigation, at the request of Morrow Police.

"The information gathered during the FBI's investigation will be reviewed jointly by the U.S. attorney's office in the northern district of Georgia and the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division in D.C.," FBI spokesman Stephen Emmett said.
West, of Poulan, was arrested last Wednesday on charges of cruelty to children, battery and disorderly conduct.

West is scheduled to appear in court on September 28th for a preliminary hearing.

These things are never as cut and dried as you think satanlite. Take for instance the beating of Sarah Kreager. She was assaulted by nine people calling her racial slurs. She was beaten so severely she almost lost her eye. There were eerie similarities such as a false accusation of spitting at the assailants yet this was not deemed a hate crime. The story:

If everything went down as this article presents then this man deserves to be charged with a hate crime. I look forward to seeing the video. I hope everyone can also agree the assailants on a schoolbus in Belleville, Il. should also be charged with a hate crime. At least the white patrons did not come out of the Cracker Barrel restaurant and begin cheering the actions of Mr.West as did the black students in the bus video. Here is the link:

You put this video here, why? These are kids fighting over a seat on the bus, the guy who commited the crime here in Atlanta is a grown ass man, stands about six feet and weighs about 200 lbs. this Cracker barrell is about 2 miles from my home, in a area where I went to High school, to the movies, to basketball game, and the pizza hut. Since you think kids fighting on a bus is eqivulante to a beat down of a Army reservist at the hand of a Oaf, you might want to check yourself. The black women here are disquested and fearful that this is not the end of it. Think before you post something that might label you a racist and a sexist.

Those are not "kids" on the bus. They are teens/young adults. They are certainly old enough to know the difference between right and wrong. Where did the article list the guy's height and weight? I think both incidents were wrong. Why does this woman's occupation matter? Many of the articles I have seen mention that she is an army reservist 4-5 times. I do not not care whether she is an EMT, a police officer, fireman, teacher or bricklayer. I do not care whether you are black white red or yellow. No one deserves to beaten for either trying go out to eat at a restaurant or trying to find a seat on a bus (like Rosa Parks although I don't think anyone beat her up). Maybe you should think twice about who the racist/sexist is here. The fact that you think the beating of a white teenager on a bus by several blacks while a mob cheered it on is NOT equivalent to this incident says a lot. Try to be objective. Imagine a black teen being assaulted by several whites on a bus while a large group of whites cheer the incident. How would that make you feel? I know I am not racist are you?

This country has changed we have our first Black president I did not think I would see this in my life time . yes there are some hateful people out there and it goes on in all of the races, religions and ethnic back grounds in this country . the rest of us who are not hateful have to work around these people and use this as a teaching moment for the next generation . there are alot of good people out there of all colors and we need to expose our kids to as much of the world as possible so they grow up open minded, not closed and full of hate .too bad no one can step in when kids are being taught this stuff .

As I said earlier, I'm so very glad there's surveillance video of this cretin's assault on Ms. Hill (and compounding my disgust is the fact he committed his thuggery in front of a terrified little girl..it makes me almost insensate with anger). I hope he's hit with as many federal charges as can be levied against him, and spends as much time doing hard-labor chores as the state can find for him (may they be many in number and depth of toil involved)...

Funny, I'm of European and American (native) descent and my skin is beige with red and white undertones (with streaks of blue where the veins are.) I've never heard of anyone having white skin other than albinos (and they don't even have truly white skin.) That must be a pain in the rear. Do you burn really easily? (Note the sarcasm; I'm just pointing out how absurd the ideas of "white" and "black" since no one is truly "white" and no one is truly "black." They are beige, brown, really dark brown, tan, tan with yellow undertones [asian, etc.] and on and on...)

My heart breaks to think how that little girl feels to see her mom being beat by that trash. My mom tells me stories of how she was spit on by white people while walking to school in the 40's. The thought makes me ill thinking about it.
If that was me my heart would not rest until that man came to justice.
