Stating the obvious. That's why they put sound walls along most freeways now.
But ya wonder why local authorities still continue to allow homes next to freeways.

Unmuffled motorcycles are a major issue here. Houses alongside where what once fairly peaceful 2-lane roads are dropping in value.

Society has changed; the majority of people do not appreciate the racket these vehicles make yet no one is willing to force a crackdown.

Instead America will do something like have the EPA force catalytic converters onto motorcycles, effectively silencing them, instead of dealing with the noise problem head-on.
