Sculpture From Madoff's Beach Home Missing

Madoffs Beach House

A caretaker reported the sculpture missing on Saturday. He said he'd last seen it two days earlier.

The oceanfront property is in Montauk (MAHN'-tawk), on the eastern end of Long Island. It's list for sale at $8.75 million.

Madoff was sentenced in June to 150 years in prison for orchestrating a massive, decades-long Ponzi scheme.

The punishment included a forfeiture order that stripped Madoff and his wife of nearly all their wealth, including homes.

And who really cares if Madoff is ripped off, I think he's lucky all of his assets aren't forcibly up for sale and the monies divided up to the people he scammed.

Oh you don't say. Poor dear Bernie, what other hardships must he endure. A real tale of woe.

this is the second time this has happened. In Jan.2009 some pest control workers found a statue of his worth $10,000 with a sign hanging on it as a warning. I think it was his Florida house.

at the very top levels of Wall Street, we have banks like Goldman, Morgan, Citi etc packaging Fraud as "just bad luck," and getting us the entire nation to pick up the tab for their crimes.

good aerticles: http://wwww.iamned.com

Bad luck or good luck, it seems either way is a win win for Wall Street and a guaranteed loser for the rest of us.

We voted for change, and so far the results have been disappointing, but maybe if he gets a second term we will see real reform with regards to heath care and wall street. I would rather have Obama than any republican.

So? My garden gnome disappeared 2 yrs ago...and I've received 3 photos of him being held hostage from different states but nobody seems to care about that. He was frozen in a block of ice, tied to a bird seed tray, and dangled over the side of The Royal Gorge. I guess there's a lot of gnomism in the country.
