Geoffrey Dunn: Tina Fey Disses Palin
Tina Fey received an Emmy Award on Saturday for her spot-on impersonation of Republican vice presidential contender Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live.
Ed Martin: Daytime Emmys 2009: The Beginning of the End?
The genre's biggest night of the year, once a sparkling showcase for entertainment television, disappoints with a hurried, poorly directed show, telecast on one of the lowest rated weekends of the year.
Ed Martin: Fearless Emmy Advice!
Here are my suggestions for the top programs and performers in the drama and comedy series categories.
Ed Martin: 2009 Emmy Nominations: Not So Bad (For a Change)
There may be some whoppers, but as I scan the lists of nominees in each category it occurs to me that there are few (if any) nominees this year that do not deserve to be included.

WEEDS!!! She's ridiculously smoking hot also. Just crazy acting freaking ridulously smoking hot.
Tina Fey could do a show where she reads War and Peace out loud and win an Emmy. Same goes for Stewart and Colbert. If you taped last years show then just watch it because the same people win over and over again. It has always been that way.
I think 30 Rock should win. I am annoyed that The Big Bang Theory was not nominated. It belongs in the top 5.
If I could have a tie between 30 Rock and Flight of the Conchords (they are from the best city in the world, after all!) then that'd be nice. If it were a global thing, The IT Crowd would win hands-down!
If it was a global thing, this would win, even though it's aimed at schoolkids (although the tv company cheekily tries to pretend that it isn't)

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDS!! everyone on that show is great, but Kevin Nealon and Justin Kirk make the show!
The first season of 30 rock was absolutely hilarious, but this past season was meh. After the show won so many awards, to me it seemed to kind of buckled under the expectations.
And of course all you lefty libs fail to recognize the KING of comedy, Mr. Glenn "University of I don't remember" Beck.
Entourage? I didn't realize they gave an award for bad acting.
How I Met Your Mother is remarkably awful with the most gratingly annoying actors possible (except Neil Patrick Harris). Just plain torture to watch.
In other words it will win.
Flight of the Concords has a nuanced, intelligent and truly original sense of comedy. It is different from all the rest. Curb Your Enthusiasm and Hung are also amazing.
Yes, I know, they are all HBO but, Entourage should not even be in this group. It is the same crap, week after week!
It would be such a wonderful surprise if "Britt" and Jermaine got their recognition. We know it's not going to happen. Maybe under president Kucinich ...
This year is a really good year for comedies. I love family guy and its very creative in its cut aways and the random references, and I think this years Weeds was the funniest season yet and the ending scene was fantastic1, but 30 rock is so good, no show on television makes me laugh out loud in 30 minute period of time like 30 rock....
Its so smart and so great, it has to win this year. you cant beat tina fey....
I agree with other comments on better off ted, that is a great show too and very very funny.
Since when has Weeds been using pics like that for it's ad campaign? I might have to start watching it :)
Are you kidding, Weeds has the best MLP pictures EVER...did you see last year's nude with the snake? You have been missing out....best show on TV.
