Montana Tessa Newsom: Gavin Newsom And Wife Welcome Baby Girl

(AP) SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom and his wife, actress Jennifer Siebel Newsom, are celebrating the birth of their first child -- a 7 pound, 12-ounce girl.

Montana Tessa Newsom was born at 12:39 p.m. today in San Francisco.

The baby was named after the state where the couple wed in 2007 and the mayor's late mother.

Nathan Ballard, Newsom's spokesman, says mother and daughter are doing well.

The 41-year-old Newsom, who is in his second term as mayor, is seeking the Democratic nomination to succeed California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger next year.

Newsom announced his candidacy on Twitter and kept up the trend by sending tweets from the hospital maternity ward.

He wrote, "Jen doing great...Not sure she is happy I am on twitter."

Gavin lacks something I don't wanna say morals because that the GOP (Gang Of Predators) talking points but he lacks something. Newsom had an affair which is forgivable after all he is hot and human but HE did it with his best friend and campaign managers wife.... Don't think the voters Democratic or Republican are gonna allow his past history to go unnoticed, especially talking heads like Boss Rush. The California governors race will be colorful if he is the Democratic nominee. His brand is tainted Dems please let him fade into the history books. He also panders very well to the LGBT community which I as an LGBT activist find demeaning. Pick someone of substance and character which this man is completely devoid of both. That being said, i find myself in a dilemma however the GOP does it all the time therefore, I will of course send a check from Switzerland to the California Democrat whoever wins the primary, I hope its not Gavin.
