Seth & Amy Mock Kanye, Joe, And Serena In Weekend Update Premiere (VIDEO)

Meyers and Poehler did their first "Really?!? With Seth & Amy" of the season last night during the premiere of Weekend Update Thursdays. The pair devoted the segment to perpetrators of recent outbursts such as Congressman Joe Wilson, Serena Williams and Kanye West saying, "No one is impressed when you take your stands against 19-year-old girls, tiny Asian ladies or the first black president. Really? Who are you gonna go after next koalas? Really!?!"

I was on the side of the people who were offensive, for the most part.

Kanye was funny. Serena showed a side of herself not yet seen in public.

And the loudmouth during President Obama's speech - he was completely wrong and rude. I wasn't on his side.

BUT..... the US congress might benefit from being a bit more like British Parliament, where the people yell sometimes during congressional sessions. There needs to be order during a presidential address of congress.

That is unless the President addresses congress every Tuesday and does a 5-hour long TV Show called Alo Presidente, in which case people are free to be more vocal during a presidential address, but still, be attentive to the content of what you say during your interruption.

Vis-a-vis Serena, her outburst was uncalled for and uncool, but I have seen people go far more ballistic and scream out far worse after being cut off in traffic.

I would not expect much more from SNL than to go after celebrities much harder than they do politicians. This is the new tame SNL not the SNL of 70's . They have flipped the script.
