Maybe they'll put it inf ront of another privately owned restaurant on public park property.
I agree that Soldier Field is for the memory of honoring our veterans and those who given their lives.
How about in front of City Hall for Sweetness?
um, what does City Hall have to do with Walter Payton? If they can put a UFO on the top of Soldier Field, they sure as heck can put a statue acknowledging one of Chicago's greatest football players ever, nearby.
I can think of an "appropriate location" for Gery Chico. I don't think there would be any objections from veterans, who also happen to be BEARS fans, to commemorate the great Walter Payton.
They've already named a school after him.
