Bill Clinton Discusses Upcoming 2009 Meeting Of Clinton Global Initiative In Exclusive Video

The fifth annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) begins tomorrow, September 22nd. The CGI describes their annual meeting on their website:

The CGI Annual Meeting brings together a diverse group of the world's most distinguished leaders from government, business, and civil society to examine today's most pressing global challenges and transform that awareness into tangible action. The 2009 Annual Meeting will take place in New York from September 22-25, 2009.

In this exclusive clip to the Huffington Post, former President Bill Clinton talks about the upcoming meeting and what to expect. Also, there will be a live webcast of the meeting, and they are asking people to send in questions for the panel via video to be asked during the broadcast. I commend Clinton for is his post-presidential work. I haven't heard too much about the CGI, but it sounds quite interesting. I like the sentiments behind it, and applaud Clinton for his efforts.

Bill Clinton is a great person/leader or whatever you wanna call him. He is doing great things in his post presidency. I hope he continues his good works. Hillary is doing great things as well, we are lucky to have them both in this country, as well as our democratic party.

Bill is wasting his time, the free market solves all ills. If the poor countries could just get rid of their governments, regulations, and taxes they would be living in a paradise... Man is he casting a large shadow over Hillary. She's sweating out small low visibility meetings and discussions overseas, in the third world countries ,,,, and ole Bill is hogging the lime light. At first I thought that Obama had skillfully side lined Hillary. Now, Bill is burying her. I guess he has an axe to grind. By the time the next Presidential elections come around, she'll be completely forgotten. I understand that they'll be looking for a good dog catcher in Shelby, Montana in 2012. This seems to be one of the coolest and most productive things that any former President has come up with - I like the fact that Bill has said time and time again that people with money need to help those without. Isn't that a great concept - oh yeah, that's the fundamentals of Christianity. You would think we would hear that from the Religious Right now and again, wouldn't you?
