Ms Ebay isn't satisfied with Billions in profit... now it wants to run the World and adjust people's lives. California is going to "not heaven" if this is the case...
Im sure at the Ivy Greed schools and the american style capitalist circles, he is being hailed as a great business mind and successful person. after all, it was only business, and in business it really doesnt matter how you make a profit, just as long as you do.. Isnt that correct Harvard? Yale? ???
You sound like you went to your local community college. Jealous much?
not jealous.at all of thieves and aholes. Im fed up with Ivy Greed elitist controlling everything, and screwing everything up. seriously almost, every economical downfall in the past 100 years has had ivy greed educated people at the helm. And they only hire and promote their own kind, making sure to keep them in the circle of power. Not jealous, just fed up with them.
and I went to State college thank you. Very proud of it.
The fed is playing in re inflating the housing & finance bubble while the public willingly lets it happen (not that we could stop if if we wanted to). We're all too busy getting rich with stocks while the Wall Street crooks resume their treachery knowing they will get bailed out yet again.
good articles 4 slow news day; http://www
The lack of any finance or heath care reform is appalling
The very idea that eBay "uncovered" fraud in their marketplace is hilarious on the face of it. Thousands of both buyers and sellers routinely file fraud-related complaints (I've done both) which are promptly given the slightest lip service, then brushed off. It is not for nothing that eBay is known in certain circles as "fraudBay"
I had a pretty goog business on Ebay until my suppliers started selling products direct, at the price they were giving me. In the end PayPal, Ebay and the post office were makeing more money than I was.
eBay is the biggest black market in the world. When you are offered new products, in the original packaging, for prices way below even 'big box' retail, it's stolen property. Or knockoffs. What's really rather interesting is that Meg Whitman(?) former CEO of eBay is planning a run for the governorship of California.
Poor California.
I agree. I know one person who bought back his own car stereo, camcorder, and digital camera from ebay. They were stolen only a month before in the Chicago area, and then listed on ebay from Florida. The police said this is a big racket. Items are stolen from all over the country, listed on ebay from a location where the items were not stolen, IE: other state, county, even country,,,
They could not catch the people who sold him his own stuff because they used fraudulent names and addresses for their ebay account. and po box. One detective told him that Ebay is nothing mroe than a a multi billion dollar, multi national fencing company and its really made it almost impossible for them to catch and put an end to theft rings nowadays.
Back in the day, eBay was great. I joined in 99 and I used to find the coolest stuff.
Now, it's like the Rolling Stones: bloated dinosaurs past their prime, but you can still squeeze something neat out of them once in a while.
Care to offer any personal experience or does your law degree entitle you to just "plop one down" and walk away?
I love it.
I just terminated my seller account after 6 years because ebay started imposing new 'anti-fraud' measures on small sellers like me (even though I had a perfect, but small feedback score and an excellent track record).
And then I read something like this. I've been in contact with their corporate communications dept over their new policy and I will enjoy sharing this link with them.
The severe economic dislocations wrought by the internet are shameful. Add the fraud and i believe we may need to reassess this road we have taken.
I was frauded on eBay just last week. Not this fraud, though. I tried to purchase a portable DVD-RW drive. Seller had great ratings. Over night the guy's ratings went into the sh itter, and days later the account is no longer registered and the listing for the item I bough GONE. I've filed a dispute with PayPal, but have yet to hear of any outcome.
Something similar happened to me on eBay about 7 years ago. I'm always careful to check feedback ratings and the nature of any negative feedback before making purchases, and that still doesn't always protect me.
I was a "victim" of a counterfeit club on ebay. The counterfeits are pretty darn good. I examained it (Taylormade R9 460 driver) with a Taylormade rep. and unless you really know golf clubs it would be difficult to spot. I picked up on it because the shaft diameter was slightly off for this model (.335" taper tip vs .350 parallel tip). The seller was unaware(or claimed so) it was counterfeit, and I tend to believe them as they weren' in that business on ebay - they were just selling this one club and had over 600 positives with no negative feedback ever. So many counterfeits out there. Business as usual in China. :(
China's knockoff clubs are so close appearance wise, that sometimes the real manufacturers have a hard time telling the difference.
You're so lucky to know why. Many pursue that line of questioning for years and end up poorer, having spent less time with family - and with prematurely aged skin.
Thank you Huffpost.
Wonderful. More fraudulent golf club Ebay sales can only make this world a better place. These people are true humanitarians. Next: Fake Humvees.
Hey, if they were selling Big Berthas and Bubbles - sure, but putters? There is something wrong about that......
remember, Dick Cheney claimed ebay was the way american people could start a business. Its working just swell aint it ??
