NBC's "Meet the Press" has won President Obama's Sunday talk show blitz.

Obama appeared on five shows Sunday — NBC's "Meet the Press," ABC's "This Week," CBS' "Face the Nation," CNN's "State of the Union," and Univision's "Al Punto" — and "Meet the Press" drew the most viewers.

David Gregory's interview with the President attracted an average of 3.290 million total viewers, 7% more than George Stephanopoulos' 3.081 million, and 20% more than Bob Schieffer's 2.740 million.

Fox News Sunday, which did not receive an interview with the President, averaged 1.239 million total viewers.

On cable, Jorge Ramos' interview averaged 954,000 total viewers for Univision, more than John King's 602,000* on CNN.

*"State of the Union" airs from 9AM-1PM on CNN. The 9-10 AM hour averaged 602,000 total viewers.

What really gets me is that Gregory had those two Republican clowns on right after President Obama's interview, and just sat there when they lied about the health reform bill. He didn't call them on what they said. Gregory's bias often shows. And he needs to refute lies, no matter which side they come from. At the very least, he should have let the President respond to the nasty and untrue comments they made. Lindsay Graham bothers me the most. These guys are disgusting.

Gregory is no Tim Russert. Unfortunately. I seldom watch unless the person being interviewed is someone I respect.

Doesn't make any difference -- David
gregory is useless.

The guy from Buffalo is still turning in his grave.

Horrible choice./

...just imagine how well they would have done if Howdy Doody didn't conduct the interview. (Sorry, David, but, I don't know, just sorry.)

Fox News Sunday ended up beating all the other cable news shows including those that had Obama interviews.

Has math changed? When I went to school 3.290 million was a larger number than 1.239 million.

This has got to be a mistake. If not, then the tune in was for the president, certainly not for the moderator who is a pathetic example of a journalist.

People definitely watched for the POTUS. Usually it's a Republican love fest/Democratic bash-a-thon. I think he's got Bill Clinton on this Sunday, so maybe he's hoping for a twofer.

No wonder Chris Wallace was whining about the WH - calling them "cry babies" (haven't heard that expression in decades)!

In fairness to State of the Union on CNN, they should check out his viewing numbers AFTER 11 am when the other shows are finished, he probably would get far higher numbers.

David Gregory is growing into the job, although he had HUGE shoes to fill replacing Tim Russert.

George Stephenopolus' entire interview was an attempt at 'Gotcha' and not worth watching.

John King is a good interviewer. His style is similar to Tim Russert in that he asks hard questions in a very good-natured way..

John King, Jessica Yellen, Dana Bash and Wolf Blitzer are Republican to0ls. However, I do agree with you about George Stephenopolus.

I didn't catch the President at all on Sunday morning. But, I'm NOT a low information voter who needed to listen in. Just keep talking President Obama - people who need to hear you are listening whether they admit it or not.

Of course Cable Fox News got beat by network TV. It is only recently that Fox News' Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly have been getting close to and sometimes surpassing the weekday network evening news shows.

However, Fox News Sunday did beat out all the Cable News shows - even those that had Obama interviews.

The best ratings David's "Meet the Mess" has had since he took the show down a couple of notches.

I feel like a total slacker on this. Usually I pay attention to the President, but I missed all of Sunday. (and Letterman.. which I am really mad about). Although I'm not exactly the target market, being a solid Democratic voter, a person who votes in every election, who writes letters and makes calls. (and listens to NPR) I slept in instead.

What's funny is that I can't stand David Gregory but I did watch him this past Sunday.... David Gregory was the only Sunday Show who hadn't interviewed the president so I wanted to see how it went. Gregory actually didn't do a bad job.... And who watches CNN?

I thought he did too, not a lot of gotcha questions, and he was very respectful of the President, even though I can't stand John.
