Rick Perry Fixes Supporter's And Reporter's Hair: Creepy Or Considerate? (VIDEO, POLL)

Texas Governor Rick Perry, who's earned the nickname 'Governor Good Hair' for his tamed tresses, seems to also be interested in everyone else's. At a press conference with Rudy Giuliani on September 15th, the Republican who's running for re-election greeted a supporter by running his fingers through his hair. Watch the interaction below.

This gesture seems to be a standard greeting for the governor. Marjorie Korn of Trail Blazers blog writes that she had a similar encounter when she met the state leader last weekend.

With a simple swift movement, the man known to many as "Gov. Good Hair" deftly smoothed some errant tresses--before brushing off my question about Hutchison's Republican primary threat.

I'll grant you that he's tall and pretty good looking. But he's the worst thing to happen to Texas since George Bush - he's actually worse for Texas than Bush was as governor. Bush didn't get into doing REAL harm until he got to the White House. Perry is a pox on Texas.

Agreed. Perry makes W look like a young 'un. I wish folks in the rest of the country understood how important it is for him not to win re-election. The thought of him on the national scene is scary and easily realistic. Palin's got nothing on him (though Romney might). He's got what people vote for time and again - looks and hair.
