Stewart Mocks Media For Calling Obama 'Overexposed' (VIDEO)

The "Daily Show" took on Obama's critics this week after the president appeared on all five major Sunday talk shows to discuss his health care plan and the state of the country. Jon Stewart noted that "the press bitterly complained about lack of access to President Bush" and posited that they must have been excited to hear that this would not be an issue with our new commander-in-chief. Cut to clips of every newscaster in America calling Obama overexposed and the like, prompting Stewart to call the media "professional yentas with time to kill" and "thin-skinned superficial jackasses."

I'm sick of the mainstream media's constant state of story creation and pushing or embracing of nonsense. All they have to do is find real interesting stories and do some quality journalism. There are thousands of real stories, some happy, some sad, some odd. But they're mission should be to get at all the facts. Some stories don't have two sides, sometimes crazy people shouldn't get their say on TV. Freedom of speech isn't about your right to go on the news and lie without question. If I see a crazy person on a corner do I stop, give them a microphone, and help them onto the hood of my car and say...go head...

They refuse to tell varieties of stories, they refuse to investigate deeply, and they refuse to interview folks in depth. They refuse to do their job.

But they are great for pointing out bad journalism or fake journalism. The media on paper and tv who are writing poor articles are studied by the brains of this world. The compare and contrast of exceptionalism vs garbage cannot exist without them. Thank heavens we still have writers with dignity of their trade florishing in other sites where the truth and only but the truth shall be published. Assumptions need not apply. These are websites who care about their reputation as oppose to an open forum for anything goes.

I wonder if the commentators know how stale and ineffective their "overexposed" argument has become. You could say that it is downright boorish. Consistently, after a week of media complaints about Obama's overexposure, the poll come out to demonstrate that the public responded positively to overexposure. Makes you wonder if they just aren't a little envious. Maybe they will give it a rest. They sound dated and petty when they go on and on about it.

I love Jon Stewart. The media just makes it so easy for him though.

I have to say that we have gotten rid of cable and are back to basic channels and tune into PBS, BBC and NPR for news and to print. I'm starting to feel sane and have just a bit more hope about the world.

And. . . Jon & SNL bits gives me laughs about the ridiculousness of the world of cable news.
