That was as creative and funny as a 6th grade skit for the PTA.

Humans are the crabs in the earth's pubes...? I thought that was beautiful metaphor with a hilarious visual aid.

I think Asif's lovely and usually pretty funny and I'm a huge fan of the show but this segment did not deserve its own HuffPo post - it wasn't terribly funny.

If you watch our reaction to events such as locust infestations, you could imagine how a living earth might react to our infestation of its environment.

Perhaps we are more self-aware than locusts and we can find a better way to interact with the environment. With the way the anti-environmentalists are reacting, I may be wrong about our higher self-awareness.

I don't mean to rain on the parade, but
does anyone else feel that the last 5 Daily Shows
(since returning from the Emmys)
have been relatively weak, poorly written
and a good bit more sophomoric?

Did they lose a writer?

I say this as a very, very long time Daily Show fan.
I have not laughed out loud during this show for the last week.
Sorta tedious actually.
Has the show's comedy model run it's course?

Given the fact that there have only been two Daily Shows since the Emmys, I will say that your arithmetic is off.

Thought this was a very funny segment.

That was one of the funniest skits on the Daily Show I've seen in a long time!

At one point he interveiwed a person of science I guess, who said that the earth may consider humans as parasites and find a way of elimining us....COULD BE! And we've discovered water on the moon and how we may use it for our needs in the future. Here we are living on a planet we've clutter with our garbage and between ourselves and the moon we've already cluttered space with more garbage...WE ARE PATHETIC...

i agree you should knock yourself off and do mother nature a favor

The water on the moon is scientifically important, not utilitarian important. The water on the moon is measured in molecular quantity, not like shimmering oasis in one of the mares. One football field sized area contains enough water for about a quart. Harvesting that would be about as feasible and cost effective as sifting the earth's oceans for gold.

This was very funny, Aasif is hilarious!
