I'm sad to see a made up controversy like this getting legs purely from media attention. Judge Mikva could have handled his change of heart better, but he is ill so we'll all forgive him. Unforgivable is the insinuation that Mr. Seals intentionally deceived anyone and the press' attention to that bald accusation. Frankly, I was getting interested in Julie Hamos, but this put me firmly back into the Dan camp. I'm not the only one. This stuff can hit folks either way.

I don't think Kirk would be endorsed by his own Mother!

Last evening I callled his offices in:
Northbrook, IL
Weaukegan, IL
DC

No answer anywhere!
But the recording did give a web site where you could make a donation!

HE WILL NEVER GET MY VOTE!

It depends on where you are sitting. Abner Mikva is respected around here, his endorsement could have impact. Perhaps it isn't important to you, and that's fine, but it is news for some people.

You are, I'm sure, the center of your own universe, but there are other people out there.
