After the "Intelligence" that lead to the Iraq war,I am not sure America wants to ever make a case for anything base on their "Intelligence" especially with the same people incharge

Iran has already stated the intel was correct.Let's not go into how Bush deceived the country about the intel regarding WMD's.President Obama presented this evidence, not GWB.

Reality changes pretty quickly; it's a mistake to be an intellectual slave to the past.

If Iran had that much control it would be 100000000000000000000000000000000000000 per gallon in the US right now.

They are still hurting at $66 per BBL

Suspecting some one does not make them guilty. Dont forget Obama is a suspected Muslin and Antichrist, communist, socialist, racist, feotus murderer, and the list goes on and on. Does that makes him guilty of all these things?

And, Robert Gates, you might well apologize to the embassy hostages in Iran.
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2006/11/8/161940/682 since you were one of the Republican operatives who met with Iranian representatives in Paris to thwart President Carter's efforts to release them.

I am surprised at President Obama's decision to announce these alleged infractions by Iran, as the 'timing' of the so-called discovery, is too convenient to the attendence of world leaders.
Makes one wonder if the current President has borrowed a leaf out of Bush's book- of lies-,in making outragous accusations against a middle eastern country, in preperation for an attack- no doubt urged on by the Isrealies, that now loudly proclaim that 'iran is the most dangerous country in the world'
We did the Isrealies dirty work, and lost 4000 of our bravest, on thier last fear mongering mission against iraq. enough is enough.

Everybody knows that they were doing this. It was not a surprise. I have no problem with Iran having this technology if the leadership were democratically elected. I trust the Iranian people, not their leadership.

It was good to see much of the audience at the UN simply walk out and leave when he arrived. It was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME they sprung this new nuclear mess they have created on the world now, this week, for the world to know and see, when he is surrounded by Western journalists that he cannot have arrested, tortured and raped or murdered. As long as the UN allows dictators like this guy, who was NOT elected by his people, to arrive at the UN and be recognized in any way shape or form as a leader of his country, than the UN is deeply flawed and does not exist for the people of those tortured lands, but rather for the despots that control them.

Any chance use of the word "awesome" could be retired from what would otherwise pass for intelligent discourse, lest the user of that word be thought of as a dingbat?

You are trying to limit people's vocabulary in order to sound intelligent. You are absurd.

Teehehe, Ahmadinejad should know better than to expect that. Our government won't even apologize to us for things like Three Mile Island and Love Canal. Nor will they apologize for what Monsanto has done in the past. Nor will they apologize for violating international laws on creating and stockpiling biological and chemical weapons of mass destruction.

Don't feel bad Mr. Ahamdinejad, we got snubbed long before you ever did.

From the interview, Gates: [[If this were a peaceful nuclear program, why didn’t they announce this site when they began to construct it?]]

Because

a) They're not required to declare a not-yet-operational facility per the NNPT, but much more importantly
b) some nearby rogue state would likely have tried to bomb it.

Ahmadinejad sounds like a teenager who mistakenly left his stash in his jeans when he tossed them in the dirty clothes hamper and is now mad at his mom for invading his privacy by going through his pockets before putting them in the washing machine.
