Washington Post:

Republicans on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence said Friday that they will no longer participate in an investigation into the Bush administration's interrogation policies, arguing that Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr.'s decision to reexamine allegations of detainee abuse by the CIA would hobble any inquiry.

Why does the GOP and RIGHT HATE America?
Why do they HATE all of the Principles that made this country what it is today?
Why do they HATE our constitution?
Why do they HATE our Majority rules Democracy?
Why do they HATE Checks and Balances?
Why do they HATE Regulations designed to PROTECT Consumers ( thats you and ME)
Why do they HATE Just about ANYTHING that does not serve their OWN needs and greed?
Why do they HATE Standing up as INDIVIDUALS but choose to stand as a single minded MOB that DESTROYS any member that has ANY thoughts that do not conform with their warped vision of how the world should be run ... BY THEM EXCLUSIVELY?

Could it be that they are fearful like very small children and Hate is the only way they know how to react?

I personally LOVE a great fight , Argument or Debate. I USED to respect the leaders of the GOP and listen to their sides on everything but ever since a person who was not a MAN or not WHITE started running for President they have crumbled in on themselves like a house of cards and shown themselves as weak , fearful and BLATANTLY unknowing of how to do anything about ANYTHING but WHINE , CRY, OBSTRUCT and SLANDER. When this all didn't work they ran straight back to where they feel best and most secure. RACISM and HATE.

That is all.

...What they mean is that any _real_ investigation would hamper their attempts at whitewash and could harm them in any upcoming election as identifying them as accessories after the fact... Thus, pull out now and don't get caught supporting crimes...

Accountability frightens the GOP more than anything else, and that is saying a lot because they truly are a fearful bunch. No time for facts, no time for humanity, no time for the Constitution, because they are afraid and will sell out everything to deal with it.

Bob is particularly sleazy...

Refused to to anything about the TARP, then when it passed, he used tax payer funds to
flit around his state to brag how he brung home the bacon.

.............while republicans were complaining about the pork.

We not only have possible charges of obstruction of justice, but a unconfirmed number of
detainees died as a direct result of their treatment AFTER they we captured and disarmed.

Once you take someone into custody, they have been rendered inactive and must be treated
within the limitations of CRIMINAL LAW.

The Bush administration was hoping- attempting to get around CRIMINAL Law by
declaring these detention under the rules of war.

Still, the same problem occurs, once your enemy is captured and disarmed, they are not to be
mistreated under the basic rules of war.

The immensity of the legal blunders is so serious that we dare not expose thew worst cases
to Criminal Law.

We treat the sickest serial killers and mass murderers within the law so that they can not slip though
the legal system.

These abuses of power while in captivity only served to embolden those who could be turned
against us.

These abuses ENDED our shining example of fairness under the rule of law.

So much for winning hearts and minds.

Thousands of people DIED because of what people under our direct command did.

Bond just doing what all the other republicans have been doing all year. Nothing. They are much too busy mud slinging and spreading lies and have no time left to be productive. They are worthless and republicans will become extinct just like the dinosaurs. They refuse to see the major problems we face in this country and are content to leave things as they are. Make the rich richer and the middle class poorer. That's their motto and goal.

Laws are for the little shiieets.......like you and me. Working 28 years for the IRS Collection gave me a clear picture of how it works, and for you and me......it's a rigged game. Good luck all of you little shiieets, because that's as much as most of us can expect.

Bond is one of the Senators from my State and I thank Heaven above the idiot will not run for re-election. He actually introduced an very good program for income based housing that would use Stimulus money and then he voted against the Stimulus Program. I will be very glad to see him go.

Alone the suspicion that the Cheney/Bush-group broke international treaties and therefore violated the Constitution of the country itself should be cause for more intense investigations into the torture policies and the whoiswho of the alleged persons responsible for them by AG. Eric Holder.
The basis of the solution is quite clear and has to be: Noone is above the law. That the former GOP doesn't appreciate this fact shows that it is in dire need of reforming itself, showing a great (somewhat immature) lack of a sense of responsibility for their actions.
No cleaning of the house but more angry fits. What a show in the face of a coming election year.

Just how is intentionally helping to sweep KNOWN crimes under a rug NOT - 'aiding and abetting' at the least, and co-conspirator guilty of the crime itself - at the most?

The Rule of Law applies to ALL equally, or it applies to NONE.

I believe that they will now call any evidence, any facts, any crimes found in the investigation a "Political attack", thereby marginalizing the Bush administrations malfeasance.

This should have been started day 1!
