A boozed-up NYPD officer fatally mowed down a Brooklyn woman yesterday, and his passengers -- including a fellow off-duty cop -- fled the scene as the victim lay dying, police and law-enforcement sources said.

Officer Andrew Kelly, 30, assigned to the 68th Precinct in Bay Ridge, was found reeking of alcohol and with slurred speech and bloodshot eyes after his Jeep struck 33-year-old Vionique Valnord, the daughter of a minister, as she left a wedding at around 12:41 a.m. in Flatlands, authorities said.

There are a couple of bad apples in any group, so don't hate cops, just hate the individual.

What percentage of 'Bad Apples" is acceptable in a community and to a department? Is 50% okay? 20%?
It's only when cops hold themselves to a higher standard and don't tolerate 'bad cops" in their midst and we know that's not going to happen. Cops will always defend other cops no matter what. Cops running away from the scene of a crime when another cop is involved?
Buisness as usual. Cops simply will not testify against another cop, period. It's called the Blue Line.
