The Worst Political Tattoos Of All Time (PHOTOS)

Huffington Post     First Posted: 11/28/09   Updated: 5/25/11

Some people feel so strongly about their leaders that they're just bursting to let you know. In most cases hanging a poster will or signing a petition will suffice, but not for these folks. They had to immortalize their feelings in a much more intense way: on their bodies. We gathered a few of the worst political tattoos ever, but we need your help to find the rest!

Here's how it works: Find a pic of a terrible political tattoo, hit the participate button below, give your submission a title, upload the image and hit submit! Feel free to add a caption!

Bush The Bloodsucker

Sometimes people have too many feelings and nowhere to put them so they have guys with needles draw them on their bodies instead of writing incoherent letters to the editor. Either way.

There's an ad for tattoo removal at the top of this page. Just in case anyone here reading wants to remove any annoying politician tats they may have.

You know the Blood Sucking Bush is an Alex Ross piece, right?

He's an extremely talented artist. He paints comics with watercolors; Justice, Kingdom Come, and Marvel's are all his work

Here's a google image search of his name, You'll notice the Bush painting on the bottom row, along with the Super-Obama one as well. He really shined with Kingdom Come though, his costume designs were amazing.

Oh wow, here is a shock, yet another post bashing tattoos on HuffPo.

I am a proud lefty with plenty of ink spilled on my body, and the elitism and condescension that regularly appears from HuffPo columnists and readers regarding tattoos is disheartening. I would expect this kind of intolerance toward a person's personal choices on a right wing blog, but not on HuffPo, yet time and time again I see columns ragging on those of us who like to go under the needle.

I will never forget the sign that hung over the door of the first place I ever got a tattoo, it read "The Difference Between Those With Tattoos and Those Without is that Those With Tattoos Don't Make Fun of Those Without Tattoos." Sadly that was in 1991, and it is clear that even liberals are just as snarky and judgmental today as they were way back then.

Chill out............ even you have to admit that these are really, really awful.
01:38 PM on 09/29/2009
As a fellow lefty with a large amount of ink I have to say that while a couple of these tattoos are well done, most of them are pretty confounding. I think this post is just having a bit of fun at these folks expense. I will allow that that is perhaps not in the best taste but certainly not tattoo bashing. The problem I have with political tattoos is that they are often representative of such fleeting emotions. To me, great tattoo art deals with more lasting personal issues and really expresses more long lasting passions. I love that sign slogan though. Vive le difference!

FDR on your butt? Seriously? What makes people think this is a good idea?

Of course, I feel for the guy with the Sarah Palin tat. Forty years from now, when people ask him about it, he'll have to explain who she was.
