The RPM Report:

The introduction of the Senate Finance Committee's health care proposal turns the focus from what the pharmaceutical industry will contribute to reform efforts toward what manufacturers stand to gain.

The pharmaceutical industry could see an increase of approximately $115 billion over 10 years in U.S. drug sales as a direct result of the Senate Finance Committee's health reform legislation - at least by one way of slicing up the numbers used in economic analyses underlying the bill.

This makes my blood BOIL!
This is another major sham to hand over more of our money and tax dollars to predators incorporated!
If this pile of sh|t passes, we will be so royally sold out.

Why don't we just call it "TARP3 Insurance Scam Edition"

I am so far beyond tired of the slime that we have in government disguising their abusive legislature as something good for us and even duping people into pushing for it! Talk about insult to injury?!

At the rate we are going (downward spiral) we would be better off going back to being an agrarian society and live like the Native Americans did (before we exterminated them). A peaceful agrarian society without the evils of money and exploitation by an oppressive ruling class.

I'm done. Maybe it's time I take up drinking.

This would be one reason a bill should be read and understood before any vote takes place. Health care reform needs true reform - not rewording the same old stuff. SLOW DOWN and do it right.

Is anyone surprised by this? I swear this past summer I went from being mildly irritated to FULL BLOWN anger towards this country that my family has been a part of since the Mayflower! I am so ready to move to Canada and they have Seal Hunting (which is totally horrible; I am a vegan people).

I am extremely disappointed in these 'elected' officials. I swear do people even research before they vote? I mean seriously how many people actually voted for Backus and Snowe? I know when I voted in the last election only 10 people had voted ahead of me and I got there at 7:00 PM when the polls were closing! (I live in Virginia) (not the presidential election). It is a travesty how many people do not participate in their right! Women and Minorities have no excuses! Womankind fought hard to vote I am going to honor their memories by exercising my right to vote . . . and Minorities! What is your problem? Why aren't you voting! You want all the American decisions to be done by white males? Do you see where this has gotten us . . . come on people suck it up . . . do the right thing . . . start reading . . . start doing something other than sitting on your rear watching . . . the hills . . . or . . . keeping up with the kardashians . . . think for yourself .

well why not? they produce substandard products that they can pawn off on us as cures.

There is some good news at least potentially. I saw a decent (unbought by PHRma) Dem. Senator (Byron Dorgan) on tv earlier today saying he will introduce a bill to allow importation of prescription drugs from Canada, which will lower costs in the U.S. as well. There ARE some unbought Congresspeople! Who knew?

Why not? That's what they've been paying Sen. Baucus for.

Here's a link to a list of the big pharmas:

Google the board of directors and management of these companies. Count how many work/worked for banks and places like AIG. Of course they are going to make more money. Maybe we should put a cap on salaries and bonuses for these guys NOW.
