After massive rains and flooding in the area, rainwater isn't going to waste at the the 5 Seasons Brewing in Atlanta, GA. The local brewery uses 100% filtered rainwater that's captured on-site to create their "green beer" (not to be confused with the St. Patrick's Day type). The brewers believe that rainwater is cleaner and softer than city water, which makes their beer even better.

Check out this CNN video about the green beer that's not only good for the environment, but also "smooth":

I'm glad some people realize they are just cashing in on "Green" to make money. No matter where you got the water from you are still using the same amount of water and thusly isn't any more green than any other beer. In addition, it is also possible that it is less green because the methods by which you gather rainwater might actually expend more energy than just flipping on the faucet.

Fresh rain is pretty flat tasting. It's ok if that's what they like, but it's not my preference for making beer.

All water on earth is filtered rain water, of course, since we live in a giant recycler. I can't see how this is greener than using any other water source.
