Sarah Palin

Politico:

Despite a torrent of criticism from the media, Democrats and even some in her own party, Sarah Palin remains the hottest brand name in politics.

Her recent resignation was perplexing. It's raised doubts about her viability as a potential presidential candidate. Still, she remains extremely popular with the GOP grass roots, and most Republican Party leaders would jump at the chance to have her headline one of their events.

Many who support Palin have little formal education and are distrustful of educated people. They have no interest in other countries and fear "the foreign." They identify with Palin and support her because she is like them and will better represent their interests.

On the other hand, I identified with Obama more than any other candidate because he has lived outside of the U.S. and is part of a multiracial family.

Ultimately, for most voters the question of who will govern best is secondary to ideology.

Back in Tennessee there's an old saying: When you have the facts on your side, argue the facts. When you have the law on your side, argue the law. When you have neither, holler.

Don'tcha "go rogue" now and buy her book.

If you're really curious - go to your "socialist" public library.

Sigh. My typo below . . . please make that Long live Sarah the Whackjob.

She might not be as necessary on the campaign trail as expected now that Andy Williams has thrown his tinfoil hat into the ring. I'm hearing more "Moon River" at rallies in the future than "Pallin' wi' da terrorists".

There is a movie called Rouge about an American travel writer who is the stranded riverboat passenger that becomes fodder for a monstrous crocodile. Wow now she wrote the book. What great read that will be, Palin fighting off a croc, while using her intellect to write on facebook. She does fish and is known to travel, I had no idea that she made a movie to. This rouge thing is catchy. All hail Sarah, uhnm lflisln inn mi nlli hunhsg li mksnif jilhf anifilj haiyfhlial jslifks hfis ( that was speaking in the secrete language of republicans)

"Republican Base Still Wild About Sarah Palin"

Ahh, this explains the sudden sell out of crayons and coloring pencils upon the news of the upcoming release of her book.

I think the word "rogue" was picked by the same person who chose "teabagger".

Rogue was the "label" McCain aids gave her during the cmapaign...they leaked the story to show the campaigns disdain for her and call her out on damage to the campaign.

Factually, you are correct. I was going for sarcasm.

Good to see you around.

Sarah likes the term rogue, she reads it as a blush color. Teabaggers just like jumping on your head. So really if successfully they can both make part of your face red.

She's the object of affection of the Republican base? You mean the 10% of the populace she's popular with? That's kind of like the female Spartacus. No chance, baby. You'll have more fun _shooting wolves from helicopters.

Question is: will she allow her book to placed in that socialist institution known as a library? With all them Harry Potter books, no less? Say it ain't so, Joe!
12:47 PM on 09/30/2009
from factcheck.org (http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/sliming_palin.html):

Palin did not attempt to ban any library books...

So what about that list of books targeted for banning, which according to one widely e-mailed version was taken “from the official minutes of the Wasilla Library Board”? If it was, the library board should take up fortune telling. The list includes the first four Harry Potter books, none of which had been published at the time of the Palin-Emmons conversations. The first wasn't published until 1998. In fact, the list is a simple cut-and-paste job, snatched (complete with typos and the occasional incorrect title) from the Florida Institute of Technology library Web page, which presents the list as “Books banned at one time or another in the United States.”

LLnTPOH - You bring up an interesting point. If the 'book banning' of the young Palin is a lie, then the rumors that have been screamed from the rooftops that our President Barak Obama was born anywhere other than the U.S., that his GrandMother was a midwife in Kenya for Obama's Mother, that he's a communist, Marxist, Socialist sympathizer and is trying to destroy America are also lies, then the extreme Right and Left factions of our population are the ones who are ruining the fabric of democracy and our freedoms. Unfortunately we must allow freedom of speach....but we certainly don't have to listen to them.
