Oprah Calls Women to Action This Thursday, 10/1

This Thursday, October 1, don't miss Oprah as she embarks on an incredible hour of The Oprah Winfrey Show, featuring New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof and his wife Sheryl Wudunn as they share stories of women overcoming adversity to create better lives for themselves and their families.

The preview of the show, which features a woman who went 10,000 miles to make her dream come true, is here on Oprah's site. Organizations such as Friends of Burkina Faso will also be highlighted for projects such as Noon Meal, which raises funds to provide a nutritious lunch to nourish West African middle school girls who walk 6 km to and from school have no other source of food during the day.
