Spielberg, Katzenberg And Geffen To Endorse Jerry Brown

Wilshire and Washington:

DreamWorks founders Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen are endorsing Jerry Brown's gubernatorial bid and will be co-hosting a fundraiser for him on Nov. 18.

I love Jerry Brown & Gavin Newsom, I will make my choice after I see some debates.
This bothers me though, where were these three during the recall??? I remember many celebrities endorsing Arnold, where are they now?!

Mo, Larry, and Curly, could you please make sure Jerry doesn't involve his sister, Kathleen Brown, in any of this? She is a former board member of Countrywide, (you remember, the company that gave out bad loans and mortgages that caused our economy to crash), and a Goldman Sachs employee, I have to say I don't trust her. Didn't she see it coming? Such a small world.

Brown would be a great choice for Gov, but the question remains whether the media will use the guy's long history in politics against him. Perhaps that's why Katzenberg, Spielberg and Geffen want to get the ball rolling out early for him.

It is their RIGHT -- they are citizens of the USA . Are you touting that ONLY teabaggers who know nothing about anything but HATE are entitled to speak, but the rest of us are not?

Of course it's their rights. Some rights, however, shouldn't be excercised when ill informed. But you miss my point. I am was alluding to their star status. They think they know more than others. Some Hollywood types or Celebs feel they know what is right for us because of their status.

Gack. Been there, done that. He couldn't stop Prop. 13 when he was Governor in the 70's, why would he be able to clean up the mess 30 years later?

Prop 13 has allowed many poor and aging citizens in California to remain in their homes. I voted for it I have benefitted from it. Corporations have been allowed to exploit it but the legislature could fix that if they wanted to, but they are more interested in providing breaks for corporations than ensuring that long term homeowners are afforded reasonable taxes on their homes.

I am more afraid of another Enron fiasco being foisted on us through further deregulation. But Jerry won't support that.
