'Whip It' Premiere: Drew Barrymore, Ellen Page & A Sparkly, Gloved Juliette Lewis (PHOTOS)

Drew Barrymore showed up in a slinky black dress and shorter locks (the black tips she was sporting as of late have thankfully been chopped off) at the LA premiere of her directorial debut 'Whip It' Tuesday night. Juliette Lewis wore a shiny tunic, lace gloves and patterned tights, naturally.

'Whip It' stars Ellen Page, whose body Drew loves, and opens Friday.

I am glad Quentin Tarantino decided to show up for the premier of this female directed and female starring, female empowerment film wearing a coat with naked women on it.

Perhaps it is suppose to be ironic but given the misogyny in most Tarantino films I find it hard to believe. Stay classy Quentin.

Are his films misogynist? hhhmmm I'm pretty vocal about this sort of thing but maybe you are misinterpreting his work. Death Proof and Kill Bill are pretty female friendly if you ask me. I think there's a lot of humour in the jacket choice. A cartoon of a naked woman doesn't offend me. I don't really see that as misogynist. It's very kitch and tacky...but I think that's the point.
