Emma Watson

nypost.com:

Page Six reported on Tuesday that the "Harry Potter" starlet and Brown University freshman looked "quite shaken" on Saturday as Harvard beat Brown 24-21 in Cambridge. Watson was reportedly flanked by security guards to protect her from gawkers.

But her discomfort was actually the result of a targeted campaign by the Harvard Voice student magazine to draw as much attention to her as possible.

Aren’t Harvard students supposed to be smart?! WOW! Way to give your school a bad reputation. Emma is a strong young woman so I’m sure she’s fine but it really sucks that some idiots decided to ruin her leisure time.

"Understand that these live tweets were made to be intentionally outrageous and overblown."

Somehow that's supposed to excuse outrageous and overblown behavior?

Probably just a bunch of frat boys waggling their wands at her.

The Harvard harrasers are jealous of Emma, who worked hard and can pay her own tuition. The stalkers need to do community service-at Brown.

If this is an example of the quality that comes from an institution such as Harvard, then I weep for our future.

If these are students working for a legitimate publication, then they should be fired. If these are the publishers of this magazine too, then it should be disbarred and banned. I don't care who the person is, or how famous they are, NO ONE deserves to be "stalked" in ANY fashion, especially when pursuing normal activities such a watching a ball game. THEY may think they are being funny, but they are being "funny" at someone else's expense and causing discomfort at what SHOULD be a relaxing event. "It's supposed to be outrageous," says their retort. Outrageous is exactly what it is. I hope the outrage is enough for people to stop reading your rag-mag! How much will you be laughing then?

Well said. These students cast a horrible light on what is supposed to be the nation's pre-eminent university. No more! Unless the university disciplines these writers for encouraging criminal behavior, which stalking is, Harvard will become the repository of criminal, sarcastic, sadistic psychopaths who score well on SATs.

Skool just started, she'll be boring there in no time. I'd suggest cutting loose the entourage, though.

It's not stalking if she makes out with them. Maybe they're all teachers who are old enough to be the grand daughters

She's demonstrating that she wants to complete her education as a serious person, even though she's an accomplished person and already has enough money and star power to stand on her own now.
She's dealing with immature kids and she doesn't realize how much more mature her outlook on life is from having worked for these many years in the movie industry.
All these Harvard kids haven't ever made any money or held a job yet. She's done that and made allot of money, on her own.

I'm sure that's what their daddy's are paying the big bucks for - so their precious, pampered babies can grow up to become paparazzi

paparazzi = harassment - whether you think so or not

Maybe she should have gone to Harvard were Brooke Shields went and the students protected her privacy. I am sure she will get to settle down. I wish her well.

Check it out. New thing in New England. It's called dry / wry sense of humor. Don't like or understand it? Move to South Carolina.

What the Voice did is neither dry, wry nor funny. Use a dictionary. It can help. Really.

Why is it funny to say that you're 'stalking' an actress attending an event at your school? Sorry, but it just is not funny at all.

Reply    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 03:37 PM on 10/01/2009

She could easily be mistaken for a child.
