Mike Bowes, 911 Operator, Gets Emergency Call About Fire At HIS House (VIDEO)

911 operator Mike Bowes was given the shock of his life when he received an emergency call about a house on fire. It turned out to be his house. Bowes tried to handle the call as if it were any other, but he was understandably distraught because his parents live there as well.

Bowes' sergeant quickly covered for him so he could race back home. Bowes described the incident as "surreal": "You don't believe, you hear it, but it's not registering. Until you see it on the screen."
